Friday Harbour is a large-scale, master-planned mixed-use resort community located on Lake Simcoe’s Big Bay Point in Innisfil, Ontario. The project is being developed by Geranium Corporation, with significant investment support from Fengate, LiUNA, Optus Capital, and Pemberton. Built on approximately 600 acres of lakefront land, the overall plan includes residential (condos, townhomes), recreational, commercial, and environmental components. At its core is a 1,000-slip inland marina, an 18-hole golf course (The Nest), and a nature preserve that protects about a third of the land. The design includes a pedestrian promenade lined with shops, restaurants, and resort-style amenities, all intended to support both seasonal and full-time residents. Friday Harbour is being built in phases; the first residential buildings (such as High Point) have been completed or are under construction, with many more units and amenities still to be developed. The site aims to balance natural features (shoreline, trails, wetland or environmental protection zones) with accessible urban conveniences within the resort footprint.
